In a few days’ time we will all be painted in the spirit of patriotism and flying our tricolor sky high. We do this every year, but this year it’s something special. What’s so special, you ask? Well, this year is the diamond jubilee of we proud Indians attaining freedom from the colonial rule of the British. Yes, this 15th August, will be our 75th Independence Day and we are super excited about it. So excited, that we are even planning to paint Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang in Vietnam in the colors of our happiness with the Namaste Vietnam Festival.
But, why Vietnam?
Because our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi considers Vietnam as a key ally to India’s Act East Policy due to which the Namaste Vietnam Festival was planned.
Apart from the political aspect, Vietnam as a country is extremely beautiful and quite well-known for its Buddhist pagodas, historical war memorials, French colonial architecture, beaches, rivers, greenery, and bustling towns and cities with hotels providing breathtaking views which make it an attractive getaway for many Indians. The country also has a quick and easy process to obtain a Vietnam visa for Indians wherein the Vietnam eVisa is normally processed within 2 to 3 days will cost approx. Rs. 2,799 only.
