Also famous as the Malvan Fort, this fort is situated on an island barely half a kilometer away from the mainland port of Malvan. The construction of the fort had been made in 1664-67 AD by Shivaji Maharaj. It is said that he had called around 100 proficient Portuguese people from Goa to construct the fort.
