Vande Bharat Express To Be Inaugurated In South India

On November 11, Prime Minister Narendra will officially flag off the Chennai – Mysore Vande Bharat Express for the general populace. The train currently operates on, Delhi – Varanasi, Delhi – Katra, Mumbai – Gandhinagar, and New Delhi – Amb Andaura routes. This will be the 1st route of the Vande Bharat Express in the South Indian circuit and the 5th route all over India.

Switzerland Breaks World Record For World’s Longest Passenger Train

On the 175th anniversary of Switzerland’s first ever train system, the Swiss rail industry on November 5 broke the world record for the longest passenger train in the world. Built out of 25 Capricorn electric trains, this train had 100 cars, was 1,906 meter long, and weighed almost 2,990 tonnes. It covered a distance of 25 kilometres over the Albula Line from Preda to Alvaneu (which is also a UNESCO World Heritage) in an hour.

Ghibli Park Now Open In Japan

Nagaland’s Hornbill Festival Returns After 2 Years

The festival was put on hold for 2 years due to COVID-19 pandemic. Akasa Air Keeps On Growing

Starting from November 23, Akasa Air will be connecting two of the major IT hubs of the country – Pune and Bengaluru. The latest low cost domestic airline in India has recently announced that, due to the rise in demand they have decided to add Pune to their list of domestic destinations. With this, the air carrier will now be serving a total of 9 destinations: Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kochi, Mumbai and Pune.  

Chittorgarh Fort To Be Illuminated Year Round

The 8th century Chittorgarh Fort will be the first fort in India to be illuminated all throughout the year. The Government of Rajasthan will be spending a whooping INR 8 crore to light up this UNESCO World Heritage Site and will put in extra efforts to deter monkeys from causing any damage or creating a nuisance. This move was approved by the Union Ministry of Culture which believes it will aid in boosting tourism and offer visitors a different experience.
