The event is being held from 17th February, Saturday to 27th February, Tuesday in Shilpgram Ground, Agra (500 mts. from the Taj Mahal).

The theme of the event this year is – ‘Sanskruti and Samruddhi’, i.e. Culture and Prosperity. It is looking to mainly highlight the development of Uttar Pradesh as well as India in general. 

What to expect at the Taj Mahotsav Agra?

This event is filled with entertainment, food and much more. Every year since 1992, this festival has been displaying India’s artistic flamboyance with a range of regional artefacts and handicrafts. With over 400 artisans coming in from all over India you can check out masterpieces like wood and stone carvings from Tamil Nadu, bamboo and cane work from Northeast India, papier-mâché art from South India and Kashmir, exquisite marble and zardozi work from Agra, intricate wood carving from Saharanpur, hand-woven carpets from Bhadohi, brassware from Moradabad, pottery from Khurja, the elegance of chikankari work from Lucknow, and the opulence of silk and zari work from Varanasi and many more.
