1. Sentosa Islands

Sentosa, Singapore’s ultimate amusement island, is the country’s most popular tourist destination that’s home to Singapore’s most iconic landmarks like the Merlion, Fort Siloso, and Universal Studios.  An idyllic resort island with pristine beaches, world-class attractions, sea sports, golf courses, museums and food centres, Sentosa is a hub for endless activities to indulge your every interest. Thrill seekers can hop onto the Skyline Luge Sentosa; nature lovers can explore multiple walking trails; and water-sports enthusiasts can ride the barrelling waves at Wave House Sentosa—the resort is an ideal getaway for adventure lovers.

2. Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay offers travelers a vibrant horticultural oasis of lush greenery and floral displays. It is, without a doubt, a must-see attraction sight in Singapore. Spanning over 250 acres of reclaimed land, this nature park plays a role in transforming Singapore into a “City in the Garden”. Two structures, the Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome, are the stars of the show. Travelers can enter the Flower Dome and be inspired by thousands of magnificent flowers and plants from the Mediterranean and semi-arid subtropical regions in this cooled conservatory. Get awe-inspired by the botanical wonders of the tropical highlands in the Cloud Forest, where a spectacular waterfall and mountain cloaked in vegetation await you. Also when you head on down to the base of the Supertree Grove when the sun goes down, you will experience a dazzling light show timed with a beautifully composed piece of classical music.  This show is suitably named Garden Rhapsody.

3. Orchard Road

Orchard Road, Asia’s most famous shopping street, is home to fashion favourites, specialist stores and loads of other lifestyle choices. It is a 2.2km shopping belt in the Central Area of Singapore Street. Being one of the most famous shopping streets in Singapore, it attracts both locals and tourists to shop, enjoy, dine or have a pleasant stroll. Orchard Road offers you one of the best outdoor shopping experiences. As you stroll along the tree-lined street, you will find huge, grand luxury shops like Michael Kors, Gucci, Armani and many more on your right-hand side.

4. Clarke Quay

Clarke Quay is one of the most iconic spots in Singapore. Named after Singapore‘s second colonial governor, Sir Andrew Clarke, Clarke Quay is a five-block district of restaurants, bars, clubs, and other exciting attractions, some of which are located in refurbished Chinese junk boats that are moored in the Singapore River. Clarke Quay offers the best in the Singapore nightlife experience, while also appealing to food fanatics and people just looking to have a good time by the Singapore River. While most of the bars and nightclubs don’t open until evening, there is still plenty to do in Clarke Quay during the daytime. Visitors looking to spend the day in the area should begin with a stroll along the riverside to get a feel of the neighborhood. Even those who aren’t interested in the nightclub scene should plan to stay past sunset in order to take in the laser show at Marina Bay Sands. Travelers can also enjoy a gastronomic feast with the restaurants that line the quay.

5. China Town

With a vibrant feel and plenty of attractions, bright festivals and of course a great range of Chinese cuisine and other Asian restaurants to choose from, Chinatown is a popular destination for tourists visiting Singapore. Although Chinatown has some nice and beautiful temples, delicious food found in this part of the city is a big enough reason to at least visit this area of Singapore. You can find everything from cheap hawker food to top-notch fancy restaurants serving food from all over the world. Head to Ann Siang Rd and Club Street in the evening for a splendid meal and a drink or two at one of the many lovely rooftop bars. In fact Chinatown is also a shopper’s paradise. The busy lanes and streets such as Pagoda street, Mosque Street, Temple street, Sago Lane and Smith street, compress hundreds of small shops selling everything from souvenirs, antiques, bed covers, luggage tags, wind chimes, handmade paintings to silk robes and traditional Singaporean dresses.

6. Little India

Little India, as the name promises, is the center for the large Indian community in Singapore and one of the most colorful and attractive places to visit in Singapore. Located to the east of the Singapore River, stretching all the way down Serangoon Road, it has most varied range of commercial, religious, heritage and cultural forms amongst the entire ethnic district in Singapore. Stores hawk saris and gold bangles, spices and incense waft in from the doorways and Bollywood’s latest soundtracks blare from every other alleyway. Some of the most popular vegetarian restaurants are in Little India.

A plethora of jaw-dropping man-made and natural wonders, Singapore is a place you will never forget.
