US Visa Renewal in India

The good news is that when it comes to the US visa renewal in India, the process is quite simple.

If you qualify for the visa interview waiver, then you have an option to submit the visa application in the ‘dropbox facility’ provided by the US Embassy. There will no visa interview and your US visa will be processed on the basis of the documents provided. If you do not qualify for the US visa renewal interview waiver, then you will also have to attend your visa interview. The interview will be similar to the one you did when you applied for the first time.

The processing time during US visa renewal tends to be shorter. You should expect to have an answer within 15 working days from the US Embassy on whether you were approved for the visa or not. Once approved, you will receive your passport on your email with visa stamped on it.
