1. World’s Smallest Parachute Canopy used for a Jump
In 2014, an adventurous skydiver from Dubai, Ernesto Gainza used the smallest canopy to jump from the height of 14,000 feet, and he succeeded. The canopy was only 35 square feet compared to a regular 120 square foot canopy making it the smallest parachute Canopy used for jump and setting the world record in Dubai. The feat was achieved at Skydive Dubai, a popular sports attraction in the city.
2. World’s Tallest Hotel

The Gevora hotel in Dubai is currently the tallest hotel in the world. It measures 356.33 m and has 75 floors. It includes 528 rooms as well as three fine dining restaurants. The Dubai Frame is an architectural landmark in Zabeel Park, Dubai. It is known as “the biggest picture frame on the planet” with a height of 150 meters and accomplished another world record for Dubai. So, it is obvious to set a world record in Dubai for the longest handmade gold chain. The chain was 5.52 km long and was made with the help of 100 craftsmen who worked for 45 days. The chain was designed to celebrate the 20th Dubai Shopping Festival. It was 22 carat gold and weighed over 240 kg when it was completed.
5. World’s Largest Jigsaw Puzzle
Dubai succeeded in building the world’s largest jigsaw puzzle with an area of 6,122.68 m² and containing 12,320 puzzle pieces. The puzzle was built by the Dubai Multi-Commodity Center (DMCC) to commemorate the life of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. They even took the initiative to recycle puzzle pieces when they set a world record in Dubai.

6. Highest Outdoor Infinity Pool – Address Beach Resort
Address Beach Resort in Dubai has now successfully entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the tallest outdoor infinity pool in a building. Located at 294 meters above sea level on the 77th floor of the hotel, it covers an area of 560 square meters. The majestic swimming pool is not only one of the highlights of the resort, it also offers breath-taking views. It is divided into a 75m swimming area and offers views of Bluewater’s Island, Ain Dubai, Palm Jumeirah, World Islands, Dubai Marina and Burj Al Arab.

7. World’s Tallest Chocolate Sculpture
The sculpture is 13.52m high and it is a replica of Burj Khalifa. Nearly 5200 Kg of chocolate was required to make this sculpture. The structure was created by Andrew Farrugia, a native of Malta. Those who work with chocolate had to hand-carve 10,000 pieces to complete this piece. The original idea was to build a sculpture 17 meters high. It was assembled in Concourse A of Terminal 3 of Dubai Airport to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of the United Arab Emirates National Day.
Records are simply being made to just break them and create new one, so it’s likely that this list won’t be static.
