With these strict rules, hundreds of job seekers travelling on visit visas are being detained at Indian airports.

Strengthening bilateral ties between Moscow and New Delhi ‘to boost tourism through the facilitation of visa-free group tourist exchanges, enhancing cultural and economic ties between the two nations’, talks are likely to be held for visa-free travel likely by the end of 2024. Even in 2023, about 3.7 million Indians visited the Russian capital with a Russia Visa for Indians. 

‘Early Bird Gets the Worm’: 44% Increase in Schengen Visa Applications leads to slots shortage

Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) VP, Anil Kalsi says, “Appointments for Schengen Visa interviews are simply unavailable with the majority of Schengen countries. If you plan to travel to Europe this summer, the earliest appointment date for Germany and Italy is in July. This is making life very difficult for travellers.”

In a recent bid to empower sustainability, the UAE Cabinet is rolling out a 10-year Blue Residence Visa for ‘individuals who have made exceptional contributions to environmental protection’. Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashad commented on the scheme saying, “The sustainability of our economy has become linked to the sustainability of our environment, and our national directions in this area are clear and consistent.”

3. Bark Air: Now travel with your Furry Friend by your side with this new Airline

From selling dog food to selling out an aviation experience for canines. Bark Air will let passengers and pets travel together in the cabin instead of in the aircraft cargo. “We are excited to take the insights we’ve learned over the years to create an experience that is truly dog-first, which is drastically different from just accepting dogs – from the ground to the skies,” Bark co-founder and CEO Matt Meeker said in April. “We believe this initiative will elevate awareness of our brand’s mission and values, introduce more dog lovers to the Bark family, and help enrich the lives of dogs and their people around the world.” 

The first flight will fly from New York to Los Angeles and is already sold out. The number of flights will increase following an increase in demand for this special flight. 

4. India jumps to 39th Position on the World Economic Forum’s Travel & Tourism Development

The recent annual report of World Economic Forum’s Travel & Tourism Development 2024, created with the University of Surrey ranks India in the 39th position. It is an improvement from the previous 54th position (2021) and the highest in South Asia and among low-middle-income economies.
