1. Goa And Dubai Top Domestic And International Destinations For Indian Families

2. Delhi And Mumbai Airports Among Others To Win Awards By The Airports Council International

Recently in an event organised by the Airports Council International (ACI), Delhi and Mumbai International Airports were awarded the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) award of the Best Airport for 2022 in category of over 40 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA). The Delhi Airport was also awarded the Cleanest Airport in the Asia Pacific Region. Whereas, Hyderabad, Cochin, and Tiruchirappalli International Airports won awards in the Best Airport for 2022 in 15 to 25 MPPA, 5 to 15 MPPA and under 2 MPPA categories respectively.

3. Indians Received The Maximum Number Of UK Visas Issued In 2022

Indians love travelling to the UK. The recent report released by the British High Commissioner to India Alex Ellis is a great proof of this. As per the report of the 28 lakh UK visa issued in 2022, 25% were issued to Indians. Indians also received the most number of UK student visas with a 73% hike, the most number of UK work visas with a hike of 130% and the most number of UK visit visas with a 30% hike compared to the year 2021.

6. Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train To Be Launched By Indian Railways

On March 21, 2023, the Indian Railways will flag off the first ever Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train from the New Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station. The theme of this train operating on the North East circuit will be “North East Discovery: Beyond Guwahati” and cover Guwahati, Sivasagar, Jorhat, Kaziranga, Unakoti, Agartala, Udaipur (Tripura), Dimapur, Kohima, Shillong and Cherrapunji over a course of 15 days.

7. Notre Dame Cathedral To Be Restored And Reopened By The End Of 2024

11. Himachal Pradesh To Soon Have Houseboats And High-end Cruises

In a bid to promote tourism, the Himachal Pradesh State Government is planning to introduce houseboats and high-end cruises to the region. As per the reports, the Tourism Department will be operating houseboats and high-end cruises in the dams and the lakes of Chamera, Bakra, Pong, and Koldam regions which will help lure in more tourists and locals to these regions. 12. India’s First Marina To Be Built In Byndoor, Karnataka

In order to boost tourism in coastal areas, Byndoor in Karnataka will soon be home to India’s first Marina. Karnataka’s Chief Minister, Basavaraj Bommai also plans to seek permission from the Central Government for the relaxation of Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) to encourage beach tourism and pilgrim tourism in the coastal regions.
