Ethiopian Airlines Partners With Travocure Healthcare
Travocure Healthcare, the medical travel division and a subsidiary of Akbar Group of Companies, has entered into a Medical Tourism Partnership with Ethiopian Airlines. Travocure Healthcare is already offering support services in medical and wellness travel to patients worldwide with its 7,000 staff members located in 200 offices all over India. Under this partnership, both the companies will promote India as a medical tourism destination, along with providing affordable travel packages and discounts for medical treatments to those visiting India from Africa.
No Pre-Arrival COVID-19 Test Required For Qatar
If you are gearing up to attend the FIFA World Cup 2022 and have your Qatar visa ready, here’s some news for you. Qatar recently announced that foreign visitors will no longer be required to perform a COVID-19 before arriving in the gulf nation. However, if anyone tests positive after arriving in the country, they are required to undergo mandatory isolation. Qatar also dropped the mandatory requirement of pre-arrival registration on the Ehteraz app but having a Hayya Card is still a mandatory requirement for visitors.
2 Lakshadweep Beaches Get Blue Flag Certification
On October 26, Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav tweeted, “Proud moment! Two more Indian beaches have made it to the list of Blue Beaches. Minicoy’s Thundi Beach and Kadmat Beach – both in Lakshadweep – are the proud entrants in the coveted list of Blue Beaches, an eco-label given to the cleanest beaches in the world.” With the addition of these 2 beaches, the total number of Blue Flag Beaches in India is now 12.
New Attractions Added To The World’s Tallest Statue

Ekta Houseboat – A mixture of Kashmiri art and Gujarati culture this 90 feet long and 20 feet wide houseboat is the first houseboat service in the area.
Disneyland Coming Soon to South Asia

Soon You Will Be Able To Stargaze From Ajanta Caves
The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) is working on a project that will allow its visitors to go stargazing at the Ajanta caves. This community based project will also include local people who will be given basic astronomy knowledge and taught how to use telescopes. An “Ajanta view point” will be set up away from light pollution in a secluded spot to provide the visitors with a 270 degree clear view of the hills where the caves are located.
Indonesia Introduces Second Home Visa Program
From Christmas 2022, foreigners looking to live in Indonesia for long term purpose can choose to apply for a long term Indonesia visa valid for up to 5 or 10 years. After introducing the Digital Nomad Visa in 2021, the country will now introduce the Second Home Visa program. With the Second Home Visa Program, Indonesia plans to attract foreign nationals who wish to stay and work in the country for a long time without having to renew their visa or return back to their country from time to time.
Jharkhand To Develop Skywalks At 5 New Sites
The Jharkhand Government recently announced its plan to develop skywalks at 5 new sites in a bid to promote tourism. The 5 new sites chosen by the State Tourism are – Patratu in Ramgarh, Netarhat in Latehar and Hundru, Jonah and Dassam Falls in Ranchi. All of these sites were selected due to the high number of tourists that they attract throughout the year.
Rajasthan Is Now Home To The World’s Tallest Shiva Statue
On October 29, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the Viswas Swaroopam monument, which is a 369 feet tall statue of Lord Shiva sitting in meditation. Located 45 km away from the city of Udaipur and spread over an area of 31.5 acres, this statue is can be seen from 20 km away. Matheran’s Mini Train Returns
The key highlight of any trip to Matheran was riding the mini train. But after suffering damages due to heavy rains in August 2019, the mini train services were discontinued. Now, after a hiatus of 3 years, the mini train has resumed its operation between Neral and Matheran as per the recent announcement made by the Central Railway. The Central Railway also announced that the train will operate 2 down and 2 up services between Neral and Matheran daily.
