Well, it is time to gear up for the anthem for the FIFA World Cup 2022- ‘Hayya Hayya’. The preparations are in full swing as Qatar, a small nation, becomes the first one to host the FIFA World Cup in the Middle East.

FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar will be the 22nd edition of the tournament and a much-anticipated one as it is being held after 3 years. With less than 50 days to go for the tournament, approximately 2.5 million tickets have been sold in 2 phases. The qualifying stage has already taken place and 32 teams have advanced to the group stages for the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Number of Matches to be played:
There will be a total of 64 matches from the group stage to the finals in the FIFA World Cup 2022. According to the scheduling, teams of the eight groups will play against each other and the top 2 teams from each stage will reach the Round of 16.
Dates, Timings and Venue of each Match:
The inaugural match of the FIFA World Cup 2022 is on 20th November with the host country Qatar getting the chance of playing the first match against Ecuador. There will be 4 games a day across the 8 stadiums of Qatar.

Two teams from each group will play in the Round of 16. All the group stage matches start at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time. The final match of the FIFA World Cup 2022 will be played on 18th December.

Accommodation and Travel in Qatar:
All ticket holders are required to apply for the Hayya Card beforehand. This card will help them validate their entry into the stadium. With the card, visitors can also avail of the free transport services to the game.
Since Qatar is a small nation accommodating these fans is a big issue. Firstly there is almost no availability of accommodation or they are very heavily priced.
