7. Ghewar

Made on the festival of Teej, Ghewar is sold in plain, mawa or malai variants.

Since it is one of the expensive Indian desserts it is often found gifted on occasions of Diwali and Weddings. Adults and children all light up when they spot Kaju Katli on a platter ready to be distributed on occasions of poojas and other family gatherings.

10. Jalebi

This round, swirly, syrupy and classic Indian dessert has been famous long before the song “Jalebi Baby” went viral. Jalebi and its variants like Mawa Jalebi, Imarti etc. are a common sight on sweet meat shops and even street food stalls. Served topped with Rabdi or eaten just plain, piping hot jalebis, taste heavenly no matter how they are served.
