Nopparathara Beach is situated 18km west of Krabi Town and is about 2 km long and far less touristy than Ao Nang. This discreet beach lies within the Hat Nopparat Thara-Koh Phi Phi National Park and features a three-kilometre long sandy stretch lined by casuarina trees. The name Noppharat Thara is that of the local National Park to which most of the beachfront land supposedly belongs. Locals refer to Nopparat Thara as “Klong Heng” (dry canal) because of its appearance at low tide, which makes it interesting to walk to the nearby islands without needing a boat.

Railay West Beach also known as Railey Sunset Beach is the most popular beach within the peninsula. It is a vast and beautiful beach with incredibly soft sand, surrounded by majestic limestone cliffs. Due to the fine sand and the hardly existing stones or corals in the water, the sea is perfect for swimming. West Railay is located between Ton Sai and Phra Nang Beaches on the west coast of Krabi.
