1. Universal Studios Singapore:
The Universal Studios here is one of the most famous theme parks in Singapore and also the most popular in all of South East Asia. This internationally-acclaimed theme park attracts many foreign as well as local tourists. The 49-acre huge theme park is located on the sunny Sentosa Island of Singapore. With more than 28 spectacular rides, attractions and shows, the park is divided into 6 themed zones right now- Hollywood, Far Far Away, The Lost World, Ancient Egypt, Sci-Fi City and New York. Previously there was also the Madagascar zone, which is now being replaced with Minion Land.
The rides and attractions here cater to both, the thrill lovers and families with babies. For the action lovers hop on to rides like Transformers The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle, Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs Cylon, Revenge of the Mummy, etc. The live action shows and dance parties like Sesame Street Show, Lights Camera Action and Donkey Live are sure to keep the little ones engaged with their favourite characters. And once you are done having the fun of your lifetime try out the delicious food from the several restaurants and food stalls there. To reach the Universal Studios you can either opt for a taxi, a bus or a train. It is best to avoid weekends, public and school holidays.

2. Wild Wild Wet:
Located in the Downtown region of Singapore, Wild wild Wet is another one of the fun-filled theme parks in Singapore. One of the largest water parks in Singapore with over 15 attractions, it serves a perfect mix of rides for both who want a nerve-wracking experience and the gentle flumes of some pools and fountains. The popular attractions here are the ‘Shiok River’ that gently floats you across a stream and the ‘Ular-Lah’, first of a kind white water rafting-inspired ride in South East Asia. The Vortex is a high, 360-degree water ride for the speed lovers. If you are a family of competitors head over to the Kraken Racer, which would allow you to do a mat-racing competition for up to four people.
The park houses all kinds of facilities like towels, lockers, floats, dining and shopping options. You can take the MRT, bus, taxi or private car to reach Wild Wild Wet.
Timings: Monday to Friday- 1 pm – 7 pm.
Saturday & Sunday- 10 am – 7 pm.
Ticket Prices: Adults (13 years and 55)- S$24
Child (3-12 years), Senior Citizens (55 years and above)- S$18
Below 3 years- Free.
3. Adventure Cove Water Park:
The Sentosa Islands have abundant attractions and activities to keep you busy for a long time. But if you want to catch a break from the hot weather of Singapore, try out the Adventure Cove Water Park at Resorts World Sentosa. Be ready for some hair-raising rides and exciting encounters with marine life. You can find some exhilarating rides in this water park like the Pipeline Plunge, Riptide Rocket and Duelling Racer. But for the marine enthusiasts, there are some unique rides like Ray Bay, Rainbow Reef (get close to thousands of fish) and the Shark’s Sea Habitat (get close to hammerhead and silvertip sharks here). For the young visitors, there is a special attraction, the Wet Maze which involves obstacle challenges and a rope course.
The park also has additional activities like snorkelling, dolphin discovery, scuba diving, etc. the options to reach the water park are by bus or by taking the MRT.
Timings: 10 am to 6 pm daily.
Ticket Prices: Adults (13-59 years)- S$38
Children (4-12 years), Senior Citizens (60 years)- S$30.
4. Haw Par Villa:
The Haw Par Villa is Singapore’s oldest theme park. It is quite different from other theme parks in Singapore as it is an Asian culture theme park and also the country’s largest outdoor art gallery. It is also known as the Tiger Balms Garden as it is owned by the Au Brothers only.
This theme park is filled with 1000s of tableaus that depict Chinese mythology. The famous myths and stories shown here are Journey to the West, the Eight Immortals, the Divine Maiden and Wu Song. Around the grounds of the park, there are several statues and dioramas of popular mythical characters. To attract more visitors the theme park has now been introduced with a rollercoaster boat ride and several multimedia performances of Chinese legends and myths. There are several tour options available to explore the Haw Par Villa. You can take the MRT to Haw Par Villa MRT station or a bus to Pasir Panjang Road to reach this theme park.
Timings: 9 am to 8 pm daily.
Ticket Prices: Entry to Haw Par Villa is free. However, there is an entry fee for Hell’s Museum.
5. Sentosa 4D Adventure Land:
Sentosa surely doesn’t disappoint its guests and has plenty to offer. By mixing technology and entertainment. Here four different rides let you experience the fun and effects of 4D technology. The Haunted Mine Ride 4D is a simulated experience, strap in for the Extreme Log Ride, get some action going in by shooting in Desperados or throw some punches in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.
To get here, alight at Imbiah Station by the Sentosa Express, alight at Village hotel by Public Bus 123, the Imbiah LookoutBy Intra-Island Board Sentosa Bus A or C and the Imbiah Sentosa Cable Car station by Cable Car.
Timings: Thursday to Monday (+Public Holidays)- 1 pm to 7 pm.
Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, except if it is a Public Holiday.
Ticket Prices: Approx. S$49.
