How to apply for Singapore Student Visa Application:
Before applying for the visa you need to apply at the university/
1. Registration of application by an Institute of Higher
Before the students submit the application through SOLAR, the institute is required to register the student through SOLAR with the following information about the student:
- Name, date of birth and nationality of the student
- Course details, course commencement , and course duration
- SOLAR application reference number
2. Submission of eForm 16 by
After successfully getting registered, the student may log in to SOLAR to submit eForm 16. Students must have following information before logging into SOLAR:
- A registration notice with login credentials provided by the college
- Passport details (passport number, date of expiry, etc.)
- Applicants email address
- 1 recent passport color photograph

Documents Required for Singapore Student Pass
- Duly filled international student application form
- Passport with at least 6 months of validity
- Passport size colored photographs
- Visa application fee
- Original bank statement
- Transcripts including all your diplomas, degrees or certificates from schools you attended
- Test scores as per your college requirements, such as TOEFL, GRE, or GMAT
- Fixed Deposit receipts (if required)
- Bank loan sanction letter (if required)
Whether you can work while you study
Certain higher educational institutes allow the foreign nationals to work while studying. During the duration of their course, the eligible students are allowed to work 16 hours per week. Those who wish to work during holidays do not require a work permit. Before you start working, check with your institute whether you are allowed to work during the course of your study.
How long does it take to receive the visa?
Those applying for the first time for Singapore student visa must submit the application at least 3 months before the commencement of the course.
