Matheran to soon have e-rickshaws

Asia’s only car free hill station, Matheran – situated 108 kms away from Mumbai, will soon have a few eco-friendly e-rickshaws on an experimental basis. The Supreme Court of India gave permission to the Maharashtra Government to check its feasibility in the Matheran Eco-sensitive Zone after a proposal was submitted by the government.

American Airlines partners with Microsoft

No COVID testing requirements in Vietnam

Two months ago Vietnam opened its door for tourists with COVID restrictions still in place, but now from May 15 Vietnam has lifted all the testing requirements set up for the visitors. Visitors will no longer be required to take any test like COVID 19 PCR test or Antigen test before arriving in the country; they only need to have a valid Vietnam visa.

“City Check-in” services by Air Arabia Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi’s low cost carrier – Air Arabia recently announced of its City Check-in service to make it more convenient for the passengers who chose to travel with them. This service will allow the travelers to select their preferred seats and claim their boarding pass while dropping off their luggage at designated locations close to them. The passengers can drop off their bags 24 to 8 hours prior to their departure and when they reach the Abu Dhabi International Airport they can immediately proceed to security clearance and boarding.

Czech Republic inaugurates World’s Longest Pedestrian Suspension Bridge

Located 312 feet above the ground in Kralicky Sneznik mountain range of Czech Republic, is Sky Bridge 721 – a 721 meter long pedestrian suspension bridge which is also the “Longest Pedestrian Suspension Bridge” in the world and the latest tourist attraction of Czech Republic. The bridge is open for tourists and is a part of Horský Resort close to the Poland border.

Israel removes pre-departure testing

From May 21, all vaccinated and no vaccinated travellers to Israel won’t have to provide a negative test or undergo testing upon their arrival in the country. However, before departure, travellers will still have to fill an entry statement form. With this, the country has essentially lifted all of its travel restrictions making the country open to all.

India’s highest Space Observatory to open soon in Gujarat

A 140-m Space Observatory is proposed to be built in Dharoi Dam, near Vadnagar in Gujarat. With an estimated cost of INR 1041 cr and spread over an area of 1500 acres this observatory that will be completed in 3 years is expected to boost tourism in the region. Astronomical observatory, viewing points, an amphitheater, a café, a hotel, etc. all will be included in the observatory.

Vadnagar – Gujarat’s new destination for Heritage Tourism

With history of human settlements dating back to 3rd and 4th centuries, Vadnagar in Gujarat has been a historic city and an important archaeological site apart from being one of the most important Buddhist sites in our country. Pre-registration mandatory for Char Dham Yatra

The Uttarakhand Government in a recently released statement has urged the pilgrims to pre-register themselves in order to go on the annual Char Dham Yatra. The registration process is online and is mandatory without which the visitors won’t be allowed to go forward from Rishikesh. This process was started keeping the safety issues in mind which may arise due to overcrowding.

This project was initiated to protect the dolphins from illegal fishing and poaching activities which will be stopped after these sites are declared as protected area.
