1. Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Tower, soon to claim the title of the World’s Tallest Skyscraper

The Jeddah Tower, soon-to-be world’s tallest skyscraper is all set to rise to an astonishing height of 3,281 feet and is expected to be completed within the next four to five years. This architectural marvel will stand nearly eleven times taller than the Statue of Liberty.

2. Vietnam emerges as the top choice for Indian Outbound Travel

Outbound travel from India has experienced a remarkable increase, with Vietnam emerging as a top international destination. Indians applying for the Vietnam visa online and planning the Vietnam tour package have soared by an astounding 248% compared to 2019 levels. The United States and Japan also saw significant growth in Indian tourists, with increases of 59% and 53%, respectively.  

3. Char Dham Yatra Travel Update:

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the preparations for the Char Dham Yatra in Dehradun on Thursday. State Chief Secretary Radha Raturi announced that, in considering the religious sentiments of devotees, shooting videos or making reels within a 50-metre radius of the temple premises has been prohibited. Over 2.6 million devotees from across the country and abroad have registered for the ongoing Char Dham Yatra.  

4. Direct Flight Service between India and Cambodia is set to take off on June 16 

Cambodia’s national flag carrier, Cambodia Angkor Air, announced on Tuesday the launch of the first-ever direct flight to Cambodia from India to start on June 16. As per the reports, direct flights will operate between Phnom Penh and New Delhi four times a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. 

5. Amsterdam ranked as one of the Preferred Travel Destination for Indian tourists

Amsterdam tops among the most preferred travel spots for Indians. According to the Mastercard Economics Institute’s “Travel Trends 2024: Breaking Boundaries” report which was released on Thursday stated that, the top five trending destinations for Indian travelers this summer June – August are Amsterdam, followed by Singapore, London, Frankfurt, and Melbourne.  

6. IndiGo introduces daily Flights departing from Abu Dhabi and expands its route network 

Indians planning a trip to Dubai with an all-inclusive Dubai tour packages and cheap flights to Dubai, here’s some interesting news for you. Abu Dhabi Airports announced a major network expansion on Thursday with IndiGo Airlines launching daily flights to India from Zayed International Airport. IndiGo has increased its presence at Abu Dhabi Airport by adding 21 new weekly flights, bringing the total to 63. These additional flights introduce new routes, thereby expanding the airport’s total destinations to over 120.  

7. China to facilitate Visa-Free Entry for Cruise Tourists 

China will begin allowing visa-free entry for foreign tour groups arriving via cruise ships, aiming to attract more international visitors. The new policy, announced by the National Immigration Administration, permits overseas tour groups arriving on cruise vessels to enter and stay in China for up to 15 days without a China visa. This initiative, effective from May 15, is designed to facilitate tourism and encourage people to plan a China tour package to explore the country.  

8. Dubai brings in Air Taxis, facilitating quick transport in the city within 10 minutes

Dubai has recently introduced an innovative air taxi service, representing a major breakthrough in urban transportation. Spearheaded by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), this pioneering initiative is poised to transform travel within the city. Visitors while on their Dubai tour can ride in aerial taxis with a minimum fare of 350 dirhams per person. 

9. Japan introduces online booking system to reduce overcrowding issues on Mount Fuji Trail  

Japanese authorities have introduced a new online booking system for the most frequented trail on Mount Fuji. This initiative is aimed at addressing the problem of over-tourism on the renowned volcano. The increase in visitors on their Japan tour to the country’s tallest peak during the summer hiking period has raised concerns regarding safety and environmental conservation.

11. Spring Climbing Season begins on Everest; China reopens Tibetan Route as record number of Climbers anticipated  

For this year’s spring climbing season, Nepal has issued 414 permits to mountaineers, spanning from April to early June. The majority of Everest aspirants are accompanied by Nepali guides, resulting in over 800 climbers traversing the same route to the summit of the 8,849-meter (29,032-foot) peak in the upcoming weeks. Additionally, China has reopened the Tibetan route to foreigners for the first time since its closure in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

12. Morocco earns recognition as the Premier Golf Tourism Destination in Africa
