Securing the second, third and fourth positions were the Bangalore, Mumbai, and Hyderabad airports respectively. Out of the Top 10 Airports in South Asia, 8 are Indian airports of Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Cochin. The other airports on the list are Colombo (Sri Lanka) and Paro (Bhutan).
Abu Dhabi Announces Relief In COVID-19 Measures
The Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT), Abu Dhabi recently announced major relief in COVID-19 restrictions wherein travellers visiting Abu Dhabi will no longer be required to do a monthly PCR test or get a Green Pass status on the Al Hosn app. The DCT also mentioned that travellers won’t be required to register their vaccination status with the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) to enjoy their Abu Dhabi tour packages freely. The announcement also stated that wearing a mask will be optional, but if someone tests positive they will have to undergo mandatory quarantine for 5 days.
UK – India Young Professionals Scheme Launched By UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak
On November 16, Rishi Sunak the Prime Minister of the UK launched the UK – India Young Professionals Scheme which will be implemented, as early as, next year. As per the scheme, 3,000 UK visas will be issued annually to Indians who wish to work or study in the UK for up to 2 years. British citizens will be offered a similar scheme to study and work in India.
