Free Entry To The Taj Mahal For All

Fiji Drops All COVID-19 Travel Restrictions

From February 14, the tropical island destination of Fiji has dropped all the travel restrictions that were put in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier travellers aged 16 and above were required to have travel insurance and provide proof of vaccination against the COVID-19 virus. But, as per the recent travel guidelines, these requirements are no longer mandatory.

Sikkim To Host Bhumchu Festival

On March 7, the Tashiding Monastery in West Sikkim will be hosting one of the major religious festivals in Sikkim – The Bhumchu Festival. Every year on the day of this festival, the Lama will open the sacred pot and reveal the destiny of the state for the ongoing year. The pot contains the holy water collected from the Rathong Chu River/Rathong Glacier which is then distributed among the attendees once the ceremony concludes.

Hampi Tourism Circuit To Include Old City Of Lakkundi

Located approximately 100 km away from the World’s Largest Open Air Museum – Hampi is the old city of Lakkundi. If reports are to go by, Karnataka State Government plans to develop it as a tourism hub by including it in the Hampi Tourism Circuit, which currently includes Badami, Hampi, and Vijaypura. Lakkundi is home to 50 Hindu and Jain temples dating as far back as 1000 CE and several other stunning ancient structures. 

Lack Of Snow Results In The Cancellation Of Winter Games In Auli

The Ski and Snowboard Association of Uttarakhand released a statement announcing the cancellation of the annual Winter Games in Auli. The Secretary of the Association, Mr. Praveen Sharma mentioned that due to the rising temperatures, and low snowfall in the region, the games were postponed twice before deciding to cancel them. The Winter Games were scheduled to take place from February 23 to 26.

Headed by a Sub Inspector or an ASI these security kiosks will attend to complaints of the tourists and would have 6 specially trained personnel including women constables and will be linked to a local police station.

Soon You Will Be Able To Reach Yamunotri Shrine In 10 Minutes Instead Of 5 Hours

If reports are to go by, the Ministry of Environment and Forests have finally given clearance to the ropeway that will connect the Shrine of Yamunotri to the village of Kharsali. This 3.7 km long ropeway will reduce the travel time from 5 hours to 10 minutes. The construction for this project will start this summer and will be spread over 3.8 hectares of land.
