1. Madame Tussauds

The palace complex was built in the early 20th century by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V.) as an alternative to the Great Palace in the Old Town. 5. Erawan Shrine
If you want to experience a popular worship, this is the right place to do so, as it also features some performances by Thai dance groups which are wonderful. Formally known as the Thao Maha Phrom Shrine and a famous shrine in Bangkok, the Erawan Shrine attracts tourists yearly with its statue of Phra Phrom, the Thai representation of the Hindu God of Creation, Brahma. One of the famous temples in Bangkok, the four-faced Brahma God was built during mid-1950s and is considered to the most auspicious. The shrine is visited by many Thais and foreigners daily offering flower garlands and fruits in hopes that their prayers would be answered. Since this shrine was formerly urbanized to equal the magnificence of the old Erawan Hotel, the region is well known as the Erawan Shrine.
