For Mumbaikars nothing can beat the idea of sitting on the ledge of Nariman Point at Marine Lines, overlooking the Arabian Sea that is dancing in a tempest, causing sky-high waves that drench the onlookers like one of the many waterfalls in India. With strong winds gushing about and pelting raindrops on our faces while enjoying roasted corn, covered in chilli, salt, and lemon juice, and avoiding people running about trying to escape the onslaught of rains under the dark grey sky, every aspect of monsoon in Mumbai is truly mesmerizing and it simply cannot be expressed in words!
We may have a soft spot for “Mumbai ki baarish”, but we know it is not the only place to experience the true beauty of monsoon in India. The monsoon season brings about a new charm and life to the natural beauty of the land and that is why we consider monsoon to be the best time to indulge in the natural beauty of our homeland. It is the time when dried up rivers get filled up, the dams start over flowing and these provide us with the opportunity to witness the majestic waterfalls in India, which are a spectacular sight to behold during this season.
