The Golden Bridge: Everything You Need to Know

Deep in the mountains of Central Vietnam, rise two stone hands holding aloft a ribbon of gold. Too dramatic? Not really. The Golden Bridge of Vietnam is the definition of drama. The stony, moss covered hands could well be those of Atlas holding up the golden footbridge buzzing with tourists on their Vietnam holiday.

The Cau Vang, or Golden Bridge, is a 150-meter-long pedestrian bridge built atop the Ba Na Hills in Da Nang. Open to the public since June 2018, Golden Bridge was voted one of Time’s Greatest Places of 2018. It is made of steel, wire mesh and fibre glass and connects a cable car station to gardens nearby. Looping through the mountain tops, the bridge promises visitors spectacular views of the Ba Na Hills resort.

How to get to the Golden Bridge

The city nearest to the Golden Bridge is Da Nang in Central Vietnam. Visitors can hire taxis or board a shuttle bus to travel the 35km from Da Nang to the Ba Na Hills Resort. Take the cable car to the top of the resort where the bridge is located. The entry fee, including the cable car ride, is $30 or 700,000 dongs.
