Happy 75th! 15th August is a day of joy, glory and pride for all Indians. It is when India gained freedom from the British Empire after lots of hardships and sacrifices of our brave Indian freedom fighters.
Of course, the Independence Day calls for a nation-wide celebration. It is celebrated with much pomp across the country with significant emphasis on the recognition and meaning of the nation’s freedom.
The Central Government, introduced the #HarGharTiranga campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to hoist the tricolor in their homes from August 13 to 15 as part of the celebrations of 75 years of India’s Independence. The whole nation looked like it was painted in the colors of our Indian flag.
We are proud Indians! When we celebrate our Independence Day, the celebrations are a grand one. From various buildings decorated with pretty tricolor lights, to waving the Indian Flag from rooftops, playing patriotic songs through loudspeakers, partaking in parades or marches, enjoying the fireworks, hosting special programs etc. the entire national celebrates with a tremendous spirit of patriotism.
Similarly, like every year, the Akbartravels.com team also came together to celebrate the 75th Independence Day with full enthusiasm and entertainment. The feeling was special, ekdum goosebumpswala! And, there’s no better way to pay homage to our country’s rich cultural heritage than by organizing special programs celebrating it. The special day got even more special with food, fun, dance and laughter.

Our offices echoed with patriotic fervour as everyone danced to the tunes of patriotism, sang patriotic songs, participated in contests, played games etc, bringing a perfect blend of fun and function.
Orange, White and Green Everything
There’s nothing we love more than a good theme cultural program and what better way to celebrate August 15th? Every Akbarite was asked to break out their most festive Independence Day attire and most of us lived up to the request. Everyone was decked up in their best orange, white and green attires to mark the occasion.
We all have that pair of awesome outfit that is a must for Independence Day. Isn’t it?
Decorated the Office in Indian Colours
Yes! Decorating the office, our desks was a favourite part of the festive celebration. We decked every corner of our offices in the tricolor of the Indian Flag. It was heart warming to see the Indians colors coming alive with decorations etc.
Celebrating Freedom with Food
What’s a celebration without good food? It was a great opportunity for us to give our taste buds a patriotic spin and celebrate freedom with food.
Truly, August 15th is one of the biggest and most colorful celebrations of the year that we all look forward to. it’s a time to get together with family, friends and of course colleagues, enjoy your favorite food, do all things patriotic and have a great time.
